The Property Industry Ireland conference has taken place in the Marker Hotel at Grand Canal Square in Dublin’s Docklands. The event brought together leaders in the Irish property and construction industry to address the main concerns facing housing, commercial, industrial and retail real estate in Ireland. The main theme for this year’s conference was urban regeneration and strategic planning of future communities.
The key focus of this year’s conference was the message that a properly functioning housing market is imperative in order to underpin national competitiveness. Speakers at the event included Tom Phillips, MD of Tom Phillips + Associates and Chairman of Property Industry Ireland; Dr. Mary Keeling, Business Development Executive, Long Term Signings, IBM; and Marian Finnegan, Chief Economist and Director of Research, Sherry Fitzgerald.
Property Industry Ireland is an independent representative organisation for all sub-sectors of the Irish property industry. It was established in 2011 and continues to grow its membership, which now totals almost 90 firms. The organisation is actively engaged in discussions with Government, decision-makers, agencies including NAMA and investors to help achieve a better future for the property sector. Property Industry Ireland is a sectoral association of Ibec.
