A Cork-based brewery has developed a new gluten-free draught stout following twelve months of experimenting. 9 White Deer Brewery‘s new draught beer, called ‘Stag Stout’, is Ireland’s first gluten-free draught beer and follows the launch earlier this year of ‘Stag Saor’, the brewery’s complete range of gluten-free beers for the bottle market.
The new draught stout will be officially launched on Friday, November 3 in Cronin’s Pub, Crosshaven, Co Cork. Commenting on the new beer, Gordon Lucey, co-owner of 9 White Deer Brewery, said:
“Tasting great is always the priority for us when making beers. If you have memories of how great stout used to be, then you owe it to yourself to try this. Since we began brewing we had calls to develop a gluten free stout, so many people that have developed coeliac disease or are gluten intolerant have had to do without, and so we listened”.
