Energy-saving lighting company Urban Volt wants outsiders to apply for a one-year scholarship programme it is running in conjunction with DCU, it has been announced.
This will be the second year of the DCU/UrbanVolt Master’s Scholarship Programme, available as a full one-year taught master’s and commencing in September 2018. The deadline for applications is Friday, June 29, 2018.
“UrbanVolt began life in DCU’s Alpha innovation campus and from our own experiences, we understand that it sometimes takes an outsider to transform an industry,” says Edel Kennedy, Head of Marketing with UrbanVolt. “We didn’t come from the traditional lighting industry and it was because of that we were able to devise a totally different model which enables companies to reduce energy costs with no upfront expenditure.”
