Irish accountancy software company, Big Red Cloud, has raised investment funds through alternative lending platform Flender. This ‘smart’ crowd financing platform is raises fast growth finance for SMEs.
Big Red Cloud closed its campaign after 24 hours, after it reached its target investment of €31,500. The campaign attracted both professional and amateur investors nationwide, including Irish rugby player Jamie Heaslip.
Speaking of the campaign, Big Red Cloud CEO Marc O’ Dwyer, said: “Not only has this campaign been effective – but it has been efficient – within 24 hours of opening the investment offering we had our target amount. It’s encouraging to see that a) investors recognise the value in our business, b) people are willing to support Irish businesses and c) that alternative lending models like Flender are becoming increasingly normalised as a credit option for businesses and an investment option for investors.
“As an indigenous Irish SME, that has grown over the last 25 years – in good times and in bad – we recognise the importance of supporting SMEs in Ireland. That makes us very well-placed to not only meet our clients demands – but to understand what they need to grow and to do all we can to help them get there.”
