BioPharmaChem Sector at Centre Stage At Dublin Conference

The biopharmachem sector maintained its position as the largest exporter of goods from Ireland in 2017, with record total exports of €67.8 billion. This was one of the key messages at BioPharma Ambition, an international conference staged on the 21-22 February 2018 in Dublin Castle. The conference is jointly sponsored by the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA), BioPharmaChem Ireland (part of Ibec) and the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT).

With international policy leaders, renowned researchers and senior industry personnel in attendence, the event is to highlight the ambition of the industry for the health and well-being of populations. It also highlights where research is pointing and how Ireland will support innovation in discovery, development, manufacturing and healthcare solutions.

Speakers at the event include Jean Delaney, Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences Leader and Tax Partner, Ireland, PwC; Martin Shanahan, Chief Executive Officer, IDA Ireland; and Minister for Health, Simon Harris, TD.
